Flora and Ulysses was a very quick read. It was also very good. Flora is a quiet girl with not many friends. Until her mom accidentally vacuums up a squirrel. Flora names the squirrel Ulysses and they become best friends. Some parts were a little confusing, like the beginning but then it all made sense in the next chapter. It is serious at times, but other times it is funny.
I recommend for grades: 3rd-6th
