Save Me a Seat by Sarah Weeks and Gita Varadarajan

I thought this was well-told, switching back and forth between the two main characters’ perspectives. It’s a good story of trying to fit in and finding one’s place but also not being too quick to judge. My only complaint is that it was too simple: not rich enough with character development and the bullying a bit exaggerated.

Recommended for 4th to 6th grades
